Back in 2022, I met up with Brødskive. We discussed the lack of queer spaces that Oslo had to offer, and from this discussion we decided together to create QCC – Queer Community Club with the ambition on creating a space a queer culture and club in Oslo. We threw our first event in June that same year at Internasjonalen, and to our (kinda) surprise, it took Oslo with storm and we filled the whole venue. It has since become one of the fastest-growing and most popular queer initiatives in Oslo. Today we have more members as well as having expanded to organize events ranging from club nights to zine workshops to collaboration with organisations such as Sapphos’ Friends, Oslo Queer Line Dance, Karmaklubb and Oslo Pride.

Queer Community Club (QCC) is an experimental club concept and creative community space by and for queer and LGBTQ+ people. QCC exists to build solidarity through creative processes, to break down hierarchies between artists and participants, and to become a place for exploring the personal expression of gender, sexuality, art and freedom.
